Fresh Information Emerge Concerning the Finding of the Reiner Couple's Bodies

Fresh particulars have surfaced regarding the untimely passing of acclaimed filmmaker Rob Reiner and visual artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were located at their Los Angeles home residence on Sunday.

A Discovery

A source indicates citing a family associate, a practitioner scheduled for an session first raised the alarm after not being able to enter the residence. The therapist then got in touch with the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides close by.

When she went into the residence, Romy discovered her father's body. Accounts indicate she then left the home distraught, without knowing at that moment that her mother's body was also present. A companion who had gone with her then dialed 911. Subsequently, first responders located Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Developments

Authorities have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of premeditated murder, along with the use of a dangerous weapon, said to be a knife. He is presently in custody without bail.

Clarifications

The anonymous source also disputed several earlier details. They said that while Romy Reiner told emergency responders that her brother Nick lived in a guesthouse on the grounds, she did not identify him as a suspect at that juncture.

Furthermore disputed published claims that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been particularly "concerned" about Nick's actions in recent weeks. The source claimed the family was "familiar with working through [Nick's] problems together."

This correction also extends to descriptions of alleged "unstable" behavior by Nick at a gathering thrown by Conan O'Brien the evening prior to the tragedy. Although the source noted they were unable to confirm whether Rob had "chastised" his son at the party, they maintained that suggestions of a "heated argument" between the two were not correct.

Investigation Details

As stated by law enforcement officials, the coroner had not yet established as of Tuesday whether the Reiners died Saturday night or on Sunday. Some media reports indicated the state of their bodies pointed to they had been dead for some hours.

Nick Reiner was arrested at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the neighbourhood of Exposition Park, roughly 15 miles from the family home. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday, but his attorney, Alan Jackson, stated his client had not received medical clearance and would not be present until no sooner than Wednesday.
