Star Refutes Anti-Vax Position Following Narrating Contentious Pandemic Documentary

The acclaimed actor has provided his vocal talents to a feature-length documentary that casts doubt on the efficacy of immunizations and lauds ex- government figure RFK Jr.

The Documentary's Provocative Basis

Called "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is based on a well-known publication published by a disgraced researcher, who became famous during the health crisis for assertions that the illness was a result of a faulty batch of the flu vaccine.

The book's writing partner, a producer, has previously authored books with controversial figure a known commentator. He took to social media celebrating Neeson's participation in the documentary.

An Unequivocal Statement

The team of Liam Neeson have provided a statement firmly refuting suggestions that he supports anti-vaccine beliefs.

"We all acknowledge that corruption may occur within the pharmaceutical industry, but that should never be conflated with being against vaccines," the response states. "Liam has never been, and remains not, against vaccines. His considerable work with Unicef underscores his consistent support for public-health initiatives."

It continued that the performer did not shape the project's messaging and that inquiries about its assertions are best addressed to the creators.

Central Themes Within the Film

In the film, the voiceover provided by Neeson includes several strong claims:

  • It states that pro-immunization voices have insisted on "unconditional submission" to health authorities.
  • It declares that "medical science has become highly politicised."
  • Kennedy is interviewed saying, "The major issue with vaccines is that they just aren't properly vetted."
  • The film takes aim at Covid lockdowns, claiming they caused psychological harm that cost thousands of lives.
  • Concerning Covid vaccines, it references a perspective that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "risky trials."

Previous Controversy and Current Disputes

It also references a historical film about clinical trials on children, which was subsequently the focus of a correction by the network for violations of guidelines.

Last month, RFK Jr instructed the Centers for Disease Control to revise its longstanding position that there is no link between vaccines and autism. This assertion is repeated in the documentary, contrary to a recent study from the global health body reiterating no connection has been found.

A Previous Position of Endorsement

Contrasting the film's message, Neeson has in the past voiced firm endorsement for vaccines in his capacity as a Unicef global ambassador.

Previously, he described vaccines as "an extraordinary triumph," noting that "The discourse about vaccines in lately has forgotten how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in history."

"Plague of Corruption" finishes with Neeson's script proclaiming, "This isn't the end of our journey. Rather, it is the beginning of a different phase."
